Art Walk Business Guidelines
• We will distribute artwork with easels, tags, and ballots to businesses on Wednesday,
September 5 between 11am and 3pm.
• If you already have the artwork in your business, we will drop off the tags, stamps and ballots.
•Visitors can vote on Thursday the 6th and Friday the 7th for their 3 favorite pieces. Voting will end at 8pm on Friday. Ballots can be dropped off at any participating business. Visitors dropping off ballots between 5-8pm on First Friday to the Arts Council Gallery will receive a free gift and be entered into a drawing.
• Shops are encouraged to hold events of their own such as hosting local artists, performing demos, hands-on art activities, etc. We especially encourage activities held outside in the front of your shop as in the past those have garnered extra attention.
•We ask that you be open during the First Friday hours of 5-8 PM on September 7th, or be able to position the art in a visible area and have the stamp available so people can stamp their ballot.
• All pieces will be available for purchase and labeled with a price, title, and contact info. It is up to the purchaser to contact the artist directly.
•The artists will be responsible to pick up their art from the business after September 30th. If they don’t pick it up, please contact the Arts Council and we will come get it.
