Students grade 3 to 12 are invited to submit a piece for Youth Art Month
Leonardtown's Public Art Project
October 6th was a special day in Leonardtown as the very first Public Art Project was unveiled! Local artist Parran Collery of Eartha Handmade Tile created an amazing tiled bench which was unveiled during the Pink Friday event. Funded through a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council and the Commissioners of Leonardtown, this piece was inspired by Ms. Collery's appreciation for the wonder of the natural world around us.
Not only beautiful but functional as well, "The Naturalist's Bench" is here for all to enjoy! Come by and sit for awhile right between the Town Hall and our new office space. Be sure to look for the "Secret Garden" when you visit...
